Just ask "Why?" August 6, 2010 Gary Palangian (Mesa, AZ) So, I'm in Europe and plug in the Nintendo OEM charger and poof, out comes the magic smoke that makes it work. Turns out the adapter is ONLY for 120v in. In a world where you can get a great quality USB charger that works worldwide for $3, why would you waste your time on this thing? Do yourself a favor and buy a charger that can handle 120V through 240V. It's just about every USB charger out there except for Nintendo's. Shame on you, Nintendo.
Works Well July 20, 2010 S. J. Northrip (Bedford TX) We bought the AC for our Grand Kids to keep their units charged when they come to visit us, but usually forget to bring their charges. Keeping everything going quite well. Product works as intendend.
It works February 5, 2010 George Van Ry (Salt Lake City, UT USA) Simple enough, it stops that old DS Lite from gathering dust by making it usable. NO MORE EXPENSIVE PAPER WEIGHTS!
Not for the DS, DS Lite only January 21, 2010 Human Being (Western USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I assumed this would work with the regular DS, which my kid has. I mean, how ridiculous would Nintendo have to be to have a different power supply for ever bonehead device they come up with.
Well, guess what... Yip... The little blue sticker on the box in the picture says DS Lite Only when you get it close enough to actually read. I wish it had said that more clearly in the product description, but oh well.
For 10 bucks, it isn't worth my time to return it. I thought it might fit into my kids ps3 controller to charge it, as they were both about 5v, but NOOO, Nintendo gizmo hell strikes again, the goofy little connector won't fit that either... Grrrr. Into the junk drawer with all the other stuff I'll never use again.
Nintendo DS Lite AC adapter December 31, 2009 E. Fowler (Seattle, WA) The charger seems to work fine so far, but I did think I was buying an original replacement charger and not a third party one. I'm sure it will be fine, but I honestly would have paid a few dollars more to have one backed by Nintendo in the event there are any issues. The picture for the product shouldn't include a photo of the original product since that's misleading.
