Product Description Dedra Lanucci has scammed a group of greedy investors to help her convert an old dilapidated junkyard into a profitable parking lot near a seedy liquor store and strip club. These investors are unaware that the junkyard sits on top of a mass Native American burial ground and that they will soon find themselves greeted by a maniacal killer, David Taggart, who lives in the junkyard. He is known by his ancient tribe as the Protector a dark figure in the night who scavenges the grounds in search of human flesh. David will stop to no end to protect mother earth, avenge the atrocities of his ancestors, and quench his insatiable thirst to feed. Mental Scars is packed with clever plot twists, unique and methodical killings, and a dark ambient atmosphere that will send chills up your spine. Horror fans will never forget the wrath of Taggart, and will be begging for more!

AWESOME ALTERNATIVE TO MAINSTREAM MOVIES!!! July 16, 2010 ro1 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I thoroughly enjoyed this film. For an independant low budget film, this movie in my opinion gets 5 stars for production value and RICHARD MYLES!!Sure you could buy or rent a big production film but what you wil be getting is a formulaic, predictable and "laundry starched" peice of work.I am done with hollywood movies...they all suck! This movie is a refereshing experience and it was awesome to watch something different and non mainstream.Sure there will be people who will complain about acting, production value etc..but if you have an engaging and insightful mind and look at the film from a directors and producers frame of mind you will understand the film. This film is like the "EL MARIACHI" of horror movies.Richard myles portrayal is definately world class and stole the show!!I couldn't get enough out of the David Taggart character.Richard Myles was really unrecognisable, creepy and eerie and of the same calibre of any other horror icon.He too incorporated little quircks, head adujstments and nuances that makes the character creepy just like Michael Myers(Halloween) or Jason Voorhees(Friday the 13th).His most notable quirk was "the eye"..the emotion portaryed through a singular eye was imbedded in my mind and i dont think i could forget that scary stare for some time.It reminds me of the same demented look Jack Nicholson's stare gave as he hacks through the door in "the shining".I could go on and on,so with that said this movie is a great alternative to mainstream cinema and Richard myles has proved yet again that he is an underated ,versatile and multi-talented artist!!C'mon and buy the movie and support this man so that he can continue his great work.

Richard Myles and Mischa Perez are incredibly charming in person. That Richard can be so evil in Mental Scars and the film can be scary is a true testament to their creative skills!
production value Scars June 15, 2010 Bartok Kinski (Prague) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Mental Scars (2009) is absolutely pathetic. A high school drama club could produce a better movie. It looks like it was shot using a discontinued Video Camcorder. The lighting is terrible, and there are absolutely no production values. I can not iterate how bad this movie looks.
The movie was terrible; acting, and film quality really stinks. I did not like it at all and feel this one was a waste of money. One of the worst low budget junkyard slasher films I have ever seen.
DO NOT BUY THIS MOVIE.
